Abstract

Numerical approach of the threshold temperature at which coal ignite, heat load by the strata, vicinity of the fire burning and its likely progress are highlighted. It would be helpful in shrinking the extent and state of fire by improving the dissipation of heat or minimizing the heat generation rate by means of treatment or protection.
