Abstract

Lodna coke plant of BCCL is located at the heart of the Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), one of the oldest subsidaries of coal India Limited (CIL). The coal to this coke plant is supplied from mines of BCCL. A stack emission study was carried out by Central Mining Research Institute to estimate the pollution potential of the plant. Simultaneously study was also also conducted here to assess the polltion level in ambient air of the locality. This paper discusses the finding of the above studies.
