Abstract

Generally during foggy weather in winter season, mining operation remains suspended for hours due to problem of visibility. Foggy weather also leads to accidents, loss of life and infrastructure damages in mining and transportation sectors. This paper discusses about the existing technologies for improving visibility in transportation sector and suitability assessment of these technologies in mines for uninterrupted mining operations in foggy weather
