Abstract

There is a global enthusiasm about ISO-9000 series of quality system standards. All industries are in search of quality and talk about 'globalisation'.Impact of these standards is felt not only in the international market but in the domestic arena as well. For effective implementation of ISO-9000 a clear understanding is imperative. This paper will provide valuable insight and facts that will help companies to avoid some common pitfalls and hopefully eleminate the confusion too often associated with ISO standards requirements and registration process. Approached correctly, ISO can meet customer expectations, improve quality processes and become a MARKETING ADVANTAGE.
