Abstract

The various methods available for removal of inorganic and organic sulphur from coke oven and industrial gases are reviewed critically and the processes developed at the Central Fuel Research Institute for removal of inorganic and organic sulphur are described in detail. Data on the comparative performance of these processes are given ; their advantages over the conventional processes are discussed.
