Abstract

Water proofing of stone dusts employed in underground coal mines as preventive measures against explosions seems to extend its use in high humid mines. Studies reveal that an optimum level of use of polar-non-polar water proofing agent exists for each type of stone dusts used, and aggregate formation with subsequent loss of dispersibility occurs if the dusts are treated with the amounts exceeding or lower than the said value.
