Thermoelectric transducers with semiconductor metal junctions have been utilized for measuring difference of temperature. Based on the principle of generation of small signals of D.C., due to difference of temperature at two thermoelectric junctions, transducers have been designed that could be utilized for measurement of air velocity, humidity, and temperature in an underground mine. Thermistors have been used as sensors for measurement of temperature. A simple system for recording these quantities continuously at surface has been made and has been undergoing mine trial
