Abstract

An approach is offered for evolving methodology to predict the risk of spontaneous fires under different situations of coal mining conditions, as well as to define the inherent fire risk involved for the individual mining parameters. It may then enable a production unit to reorient and organize its system of mining to lowered fire risk probability conditions – by picking and choosing of the appropriate mining parameters, depending of course on the in-built limitations of the unit.
