Abstract

The oil-agglomeration of coal involves two major steps in which the oleophilic coal is wetted by oil followed by the separation of coaly matter from mineral mater and formation of assorted sizes of agglomerates under high level of agitation. The oil required for wetting of any particular type of coal is dependent on the nature of oils. The present paper deals with the effects of some factors such as pH, concentration of pulp, types and dosage of condition and agglomerating oils, yield and ash percentage of slurry (-05 mm in size) from patherdih coal washery.
