Abstract

Large scale production of coal and allied industrial activities in Dhanbad has mad the environment very much polluted. The study of rain water quality has clearly revealed the chemical characteristics of this mining and associated industrial environment from 1934 to 1986. Central Mining Research Station has made a number of studies on air and water pollution of the area. the above study incorporates the parameters, such as rainfall rate, pH and alkalinity.
