Abstract

Wet scrubbing is one of several methods known for cleaning particulate matter from flue gases. The case study presents results of an investigation into an experimental water scrubber introduced into flue gases circuit, for partial cleaning of its own dust load. The system was found to be 71.2% efficient for dust capture. However the dynamics of particles in the dust load was found to be altered in the process. The effect of particle size on the altered system is discussed.
