Abstract

Subsidence movements were predicted by empirical method for stowed panel at Dehlbera colliery of Mahanadi Coalfield Limited. Thereafter to prevent any damages to surface structures and stadium over the working panel, subsidence movements were measured to know the exact values of ground movements for the safety of surface structures and stadium. There is variation in predicted and measured values of subsidence movements. This paper deals with predicted and measured subsidence movements along with causes of their variation.
