Abstract
In the present work, the effect of direction of initiation of blast on the ground vibration generated was investigated. Experimental blasts were carried out in a limestone mine. It was observed that the peak panicle velocity (ppv) generated on the flank opposite to the initiation point was more than towards the initiation point. Maximum ppv was recorded opposite to the free face.
