Abstract

The cause of failure of micro-alloyed, high tensile steel link bars, currently being introduced in mining industry as a substitute for the conventional material, (i.e.structural/1.5 Mn/20Mn2 steel) for improved performance and greater reliability in operation, has been analysed and remedial measures suggested in this paper.
