Abstract

High speed video technique is used to study fly rock, energy of explosive, fragmentation and other problems in blasting. This technique is used to study rock fragmentation effect of in-hole delay and surface delay in blasting. It was recorded that in surface delay blasting, gaseous energy was vented out through the stemming column. However, with in-hole delay blasting, the gaseous energy escapes from bottom portion of the hole.
