Abstract

The influence on the quality of coke produced by the addition of different ferruginous materials to various coals was studied on laboratory and pilot-plant scales. No appreciable improvement in the physical properties of the coke was observed by such addition and therefore, as the authors conclude in this paper, commercial adaptation of this technique seems to have remote possibilities in India.
