Abstract

Behaviour of different stone-dusts and coal-dusts under high humid conditions have been studied. The moisture intake characteristics, resulting impairment of dispersibility and suppression of inflammability found out by experiments have been critically examined to assess the efficacy of stone-dusting in high humid underground mine. A possible explanation as to why the dispersibility may not be the possible criterion for stone-dusts to be employed in underground mine has been included.
