Abstract

The reducibility of iron ore or agglomerate of iron depends on many factors like reductant, temperature of reaction lump size, porosity of the ore or agglomerate. Major developments of a fundamental nature in the field have been reviewed. Mechanism of reduction has been briefly discussed.
